W3 D3: Dragons?7/7/2017 Today was a slow rainy day. Because we spent yesterday learning to work with wood, our build counselor thought it would be good for our campers to learn a little about casting. So we used cast earth (a mixture of dirt and plaster) to create "dragon eggs" to decorate our yards or neighborhood.
Later in the day, our campers decided to use their new-found bench-making skills to make a bench of their own. We loved the idea, but insisted that they build a bench of their own design. Operation Tired-a-Lot bench build is underway!

W3 D1 : Tool Time7/5/2017 With the feedback from the community we had the students come together and combine their ideas into one cohesive design. We saw amazing ideas from all of them and knew that, if we pushed, they could figure out how to put them all together. Our afternoon was a little more laid back as we had tool 101 with the kids. Bri taught them about different tools, and safety protocol.
